Finally had to face the truth that my diploma wouldnt be finished before the summer break.

Might as well, but I'm starting to think that I've drifted to far in to the technical details rather than the theoretical parts that really interested me.

Problem is that the concept makes or breaks due to the technical stuff..

I'm currently trying to solve how I can winch up a lot of rope, without having a traditional spool, and use more of a sail-boat technique. Only issue is that this spool feeds atleast 6 meters of rope per second.

So what am I trying to solve with the important mechanics?

- Non-captive spool. The one they use today takes up a lot of volume.

- Self tailing automatic winch. This winch has to pull 6 meters of rope per second and the drivers focus is on the rider, not tailing and managing the rope.

- The rope is approximately 4-6 millimetres thick. How will it clinch the rope and still release it at the given point?

- Prevent override of the rope. Would come to an immediate halt and ruin the ride.
